We stopped off twice in Jouques for some eats. The first time we bought a quiche at Groues Jean-Marc. It was very good! They are one of two boulangeries on the main street. The other, Didier B, has also had good reviews. On our second stop, we had lunch at Restaurant Aux Deux Saveurs. It was a very busy day, there was only one cook, so service was very slow. The créole sauce was nothing special, but the menu is varied, and not very expensive. The portions are generous, and you can eat on the covered terrace across the street. Starters around €12, mains €17 to €27. Tel: 06 29 17 87 18There are also numerous shops in the village, including a bank, a chemist and a small Spar supermarket. All these establishments are located on the main street, Boulevard de la République. There is some limited cycle parking on the nearby Boulevard du Réal, opposite the local library.
